Fans of the horror genre know two very different ideas - Five Nights at Freddy's and the Backrooms. But what happens when you put them together? The standard location changes: now you hide from the animatronics not in a security office, but in the endless yellow rooms. The task stays the same - survive.
FNAF Backrooms: Gameplay
FNAF Backrooms greets you with familiar characters - Freddy and his friends Bonnie, Chica and the rest. At each level a new one appears, which makes the run harder as it goes. There are three ranks in total, and dying on the last one throws you back to retake the levels.
A few tips for survival:
if a robot is only just entering the room, there is no need to run for the back room yet;
do not make noise while a monster is nearby - sound is what pulls them towards you;
do not stay hidden and idle for too long, standing still is its own way of getting caught;
once the robot leaves the warehouse you can move, hide or do whatever you needed to do.
To control the character you need the keyboard and mouse. WASD walks, Space jumps, Shift runs. Move, react and get through the levels.
Why walking changes the fear
You lose the camera feed, so you never know where anything is until you hear it
Corridors look identical, which makes retreating as dangerous as advancing
Running is loud, so speed and safety pull in opposite directions
There is no power meter here - the resource you manage is your own noise
If you prefer the version where you stay in one chair and watch the halls, that is FNAF 1.
