This version of the horror game is closely intertwined with the classic game "5 Nights with Freddy". There are a lot of references, because Sister Location was a sequel to the first part and a prequel to the third. Despite this, developer Scott Cawthon created the game as an independent survival horror.

The plot of the game revolves around William Afton - the creator of animatronics. He is the main villain, because originally he created robots for killing. But after an accident, all the machines were moved to the "Entertainment Center and Rental Office", where the events of the game take place.
