Sister Location Custom Night

Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location Custom is a mode built on the Sister Location game. It is a fan build, but it earns its place - it is no less tense than the official version. You get more freedom than in the earlier parts because you are not tied to one spot and can look around the locations. You will be given tasks to complete in order to reach the next day. Get ready for the atmosphere and for the things the mode hides.

How to play

Custom Night is an extra mode in FNAF: Sister Location.

It is not a story mode. Its whole point is that you configure the animatronics yourself. Only a limited set of characters is available, but that does not blunt the gameplay at all.

As in the earlier games, the action takes place in a familiar location - the security office. The goal is to survive the whole night without letting anything into the room. In Custom Night you personally set how often each character shows up. That is the mode's entire hook: you can raise the difficulty until the night becomes as intense as you can handle.

Custom Night also adds an indicator the other games do not have - oxygen. It is drained by characters like the Minireenas and Yenndo. Once very little is left, the screen starts to dim. It works much like the broken ventilation effect in FNAF 3. At zero oxygen you are effectively blind: the controls still work, but you are using them by feel.

Presets worth trying

• Start with two or three characters, not the full roster
• Learn the oxygen drain rate before you touch anything else
• Yenndo punishes camera use, so plan around him first
• The Minireenas are a counting problem, not a reflex one
