FNAF 9 and Security Breach

  • Also called: Security Breach, the ninth entry by most counts
  • Setting: the Mega Pizzaplex, a shopping-centre-sized version of the pizzeria
  • Cast: eleven animatronics across several new locations
  • Change: you are not sitting in an office - you move, hide and run
  • Cost: free in the browser
FNAF 9 is one of the latest games in the Five Nights at Freddy's line, with a new cast. Several new locations and eleven monsters are waiting for you, and this time the building is far too big to watch from one chair.

How the numbering works out

  • FNAF 1 to 4 are the numbered originals
  • FNAF 5 is Sister Location, FNAF 6 is Pizzeria Simulator
  • Ultimate Custom Night and Help Wanted usually take slots 7 and 8
  • Which leaves Security Breach as the ninth, and its add-on Ruin after it

FNAF 9: questions

Is this the official Security Breach?

No. The official release is a full 3D game for PC and console. This is a browser version built to run in a tab, so it is smaller in scope.

Why can I not hide anywhere I want?

Hiding places are fixed. Only certain spots count as cover, so learning the map matters more than running fast.

Is FNAF 9 really the ninth game?

Depends who is counting. Security Breach is the ninth main entry for most people, but the spin-offs make the numbering an argument rather than a fact.
